REORIENTASI NILAI DALAM FILSAFAT PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DI TENGAH DISRUPSI MORAL GENERASI MUDA
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of moral disruption among the younger generation in the digital age and to formulate a model for the reorientation of values within the philosophy of Islamic education as a solution to the contemporary moral crisis. The development of social media and digital technology has influenced the behavior, interaction patterns, and life orientation of the younger generation, characterized by an increase in cyberbullying, Fear of Missing Out (FoMO), social media addiction, and identity crises. This study employs a qualitative library research method with a philosophical-hermeneutic approach through an examination of scientific literature, works by Islamic educational figures, and relevant empirical data. The data is analyzed philosophically and contextually based on the thoughts of Abu Hamid Al-Ghazali, Ibn Khaldun, and Muhammad Iqbal. The research findings indicate that the modern education system remains more focused on cognitive aspects and technological proficiency than on character development, spirituality, and morality. Al-Ghazali’s thought emphasizes the strengthening of ethics and spirituality; Ibn Khaldun underscores the importance of education that adapts to social change; while Muhammad Iqbal emphasizes the strengthening of self-identity through the concept of khudi. This study concludes that Islamic education needs to be reoriented in an integrative manner through spiritual strengthening, ethics-based digital literacy, and character building in order to shape a young generation that is moral, critical, and responsible in the digital age.
