PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROJECT BASED LEARNING (PjBL) TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA DI SMP NEGERI 1 SUWAWA TENGAH KABUPATEN BONE BOLANGO

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on the critical thinking skills of students at SMP Negeri 1 Suwawa Tengah. This study employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The sample consisted of 35 students from SMP Negeri 1 Suwawa Tengah. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation methods. The data analysis techniques used in this study included validity testing, reliability testing, data normality testing, t-test (partial test), coefficient of determination test, and simple linear regression analysis.  The results of the study indicated that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model had a significant effect on students' critical thinking skills. The coefficient of determination value of 0.785 showed that 78.5% of the variability in the critical thinking skills of students at SMP Negeri 1 Suwawa Tengah could be explained by the Project Based Learning (PjBL) variable. In other words, the implementation of the Project Based Learning model made a substantial contribution to improving students' critical thinking skills, while the remaining 21.5% was influenced by other factors outside the variables examined in this study.
