GROWTH OPPORTUNITY DAN FIRM SIZE TERHADAP NILAI PERUSAHAAN PADA PERUSAHAAN SUB SEKTOR MAKANAN DAN MINUMAN YANG TERDAFTAR DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA DENGAN PROFITABILITAS SEBAGAI VARIABEL INTERVENING PERIODE 2018-2021
Abstract
Economic growth is a measure of a country's progress which can be measured from its production sector. Food and beverage companies are currently growing rapidly because they are one of the needs of society. The more widespread expansion is expected to provide a contribution to society and the company. The purpose of this research is to analyze and test the effect of growth opportunity and firm size on company value in food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with profitability as an intervening variable period 2018-2021. The population in this study is the food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2018-2021. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data analysis and hypothesis testing in this study were done using the Structural Equation Model – Partial Least Square (PLS-SEM).
The results of the direct effect hypothesis test using the smart pls 3.0 application show that growth opportunity has a significantly positive effect on profitability, firm size has a positive but not significant effect on profitability, growth opportunity has a negative effect but not significant on firm value, firm size has a significant positive effect on value company, profitability has a significant positive effect on the value company, growth opportunity has a significant positive effect on the value company through profitability and firm size have a positive effect but not significant to firm value through profitability.
