PERAN KOMPETENSI DALAM MENINGKATKAN KINERJA MELALUI MOTIVASI KERJA SEBAGAI VARIABEL INTERVENING

Abstract

Kinerja pegawai merupakan hal penting yang harus mendapat perhatian bagi organisasi, baik organisasi milik pemerintah maupun milik swasta. Tulisan ini memiliki tujuan yang pertama untuk menguji dan menganalisis dampak kompetensi terhadap kinerja pegawai. Tujuan yang kedua untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi kerja terhadap kineja pegawai. Dan tujuan yang ketiga yaitu untuk mengathui dampak kompetensi terhadap kinerja pegawai. Penelitian ini menggunakan seluruh pegawai Dinas Perumahan Rakyat, Kawasan Pemukiman dan Cipta Karya Jember  yang jumlahnya 80 sebagai populasi dan juga digunakan sebagai sampel.  Uji validitas dan uni relibilitas penelitian dilakukan untuk uji kusioner penelitian. Analisis statistik induktif untuk menjawab hipotesis penelitian.  Hasil penelitian yang pertama menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi berpengaruh terhadap motivati kerja pegawai. Hasil peneltiian kedua menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi berpengaruh terhadap kinerja. Dan terakhir hasilnya yaitu kompetensi berpengaruh terhadap kinerja melalui motivasi kerja pegawai dalamsuatu oraganisasi.
