Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Pioneer: Journal of Language and Literature aims to widespread the latest results of research and conceptual ideas in the field of Applied Linguistics and Applied Literature. The manuscripts can be research-based and/or non-research-based. Each paper submitted must comply with the standardized legitimacy. Hence, the author submitting an article to Pioneer: Journal of Language and Literature must adhere to the following guidelines.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  1. Article written for Pioneer: Journal of Language and Literature includes the results of the research or conceptual ideas in the field of Applied Linguistics or Applied Literature (preferably research). The article must be written in English.
  2. The article submitted by the author is the original scientific paper, has never been published, and is not being submitted for publication in another journal.
  3. The article does not contain any form of plagiarism, falsification, and fabrication of data.
  4. The length of manuscript is between 7 - 16 pages (excluding the references).
  5. The article can be submitted via OJS page of Pioneer: Journal of Language and Literature
  6. Every article submitted to Pioneer: Journal of Language and Literature will be initially checked by the editor. The initial screening involves similarity check using Turnitin, the article template, the writing mechanic, the writing of citation and reference. The initial screening takes 1 - 2 weeks after the article is submitted. The author is required to revise the article based on the recommendations (if any) given by the editor. Any article that does not follow the guideline will be declined.
  7. Every article that has passed the initial screening stage will be reviewed by reviewers. This process takes 2 - 4 weeks.
  8. Every article that has been reviewed should be revised by the author(s).
  9. The revised article will be sent to the Copyediting stage. In this stage, author(s) are required to pay the Article Processing Charge (APC).
  10. Author(s) can get a Letter of Acceptance if their article has been accepted, meaning that it is in Copyediting stage.
  11. Questions related to the procedures of publication are welcomed. Repetitive questions or requests for a fast processing of the articles will be ignored.
  12. Author(s) who violate the publication ethics will be penalized with the following charges: PENALTY
