Journal of IKA (Alumni Association) of PGSD was formed on the Lectures’ need for Publication. It was formed in May 2012 after comparative study to Dr. Sukidin, M.Pd (Lecturer of Jember University) at that time, he was active in managing Journal.

The name of the Journal for the Alumni to publish their research in the form of theses and reports and literature reviews that they had written.

Journal of IKA PGSD published for the first time in December 2012, then it was registered with number of Printed ISSN (P-ISSN) 2338-3860. Journal IKA PGSD accepts scientific articles from research and literature studies written by the Academic Society of UNARS and outside of UNARS.

The Journal accepts manuscripts online (online submission) and in person (offline). The Journal accept article in Bahasa Indonesia and English.

The Journal scope are research article, un-published scientific thesis or literature studies relating to education and teaching in general, such as Primary School Education, Early Childhood Education, Education Management, Classroom Management, Teacher Professionalism, Outside School Education, IT-based Teaching, E-Learning, Learning, Media Utilization and so on.

Currently, Journal IKA PGSD has been online and can be accessed via https://unars.ac.id/ojs/index.php/pgsdunars, and already has an Electronic ISSN (E-ISSN) with registered number 2656-4459.

Jurnal IKA (Ikatan Alumni) PGSD terbentuk  atas  dasar  kebutuhan Publikasi Dosen Fakultas Keguruan  dan Ilmu Pendidikan PGSD Universitas  Abdurachman  Saleh  Situbondo pada bulan Mei  2012. Hasil putusan rapat  senat  fakultas , dengan ketua Senat  Hasan Muchtar Fauzi, M.Si adalah  studi dan konsultasi  pada Dr. Sukidin, M.Pd (Dosen FKIP Universitas  Jember) yang  saat itu  aktif  dalam pengelolaan Jurnal.

Pemilihan nama Jurnal IKA PGSD, pada mulanya atas dasar, kebutuhan para  Alumni PGSD UNARS akan Publikasi ilmiah hasil penelitian yang  berupa skripsi dan laporan-laporan serta kajian pustaka yang telah  mereka  tulis.

Jurnal IKA PGSD terbit  pertama  kali pada bulan Desember  2012, selanjutnya  Jurnal IKA PGSD  terdaftar  dengan  nomor P-ISSN  2338-3860 . Jurnal IKA PGSD menerima artikel ilmiah  hasil penelitian dan studi  pustaka yang  ditulis oleh  Civitas  Academica UNARS maupun luar  UNARS.

Jurnal IKA PGSD menerima naskah secara online (online submission) dan secara langsung (offline). Artikel yang menjadi ruang lingkup Jurnal IKA PGSD adalah naskah artikel penelitian atau studi pustaka  yang  berkaitan  dengan Pendidikan  dan pengajaran  secara  umum, seperti Pendidikan Dasar,Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini, Manajemen Pendidikan, Profesionalisme Guru, Pendidikan Luar  Sekolah, Pengajaran berbasis IT, E-Learning, Pemnafaatan Media Belajar dan sebagainya. 

Seiring  perkembangan  jaman, yaitu terjadinya digitalisasi disegala  bidang, maka Jural IKA PGSD telah online dan dapat  diakses  melalui https://unars.ac.id/ojs/index.php/pgsdunars,  serta telah memiliki nomor E-ISSN 2656-4459 .
