Abstract

Beringharjo Market is one of the most famous traditional markets, especially in Indonesia. Beringharjo Market also offers various kinds of products, for example batik cloth, mukena, clothes for children and adults, as well as typical Yogyakarta souvenirs which are often found on various occasions. As time goes by and market competition with modern markets means online shopping, the Beringharjo market is also faced with challenges to maintain its relevance. In this case, product innovation and product certification are also one of the best solutions to increase competitiveness in this market. This article also aims to analyze various product innovations and the importance of product certification in the Beringharjo Market, as well as how these two factors can help traditional markets to continue to develop and compete in increasing customer (consumer) loyalty. By using a qualitative approach, this article can identify various lems faced, the benefits of innovation and certification, and provide solutions to overcome various existing problems.
