EFEKTIVITAS PROJECT BASED LEARNING TERINTEGRASI STEAM BERBASIS OBE TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR DAN KREATIVITAS MAHASISWA TEKNIK MESIN PADA MATA KULIAH MEKANIKA FLUIDA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model Project Based Learning (PJBL) terintegrasi STEAM berbasis Outcome Based Education (OBE) terhadap hasil belajar dan kreativitas mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Mekanika Fluida. Penelitian menggunakan desain one-shot case study, di mana satu kelompok mahasiswa menerima perlakuan tanpa pretest maupun kelompok kontrol. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 20 mahasiswa Program Studi Teknik Mesin semester genap tahun akademik 2024/2025 yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui nilai Ujian Akhir Semester (UAS) dan penilaian kreativitas berbasis proyek menggunakan empat indikator, yaitu fluency, flexibility, originality, dan elaboration. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif untuk melihat kecenderungan capaian hasil belajar, serta perhitungan persentase kreativitas untuk menentukan kategori pencapaian mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada capaian belajar, dengan rata-rata nilai meningkat dari 59,75 (UTS) menjadi 77,25 (UAS). Selain itu, sebagian besar mahasiswa berada pada kategori kreatif, dan satu mahasiswa mencapai kategori sangat kreatif. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa penerapan PJBL-STEAM berbasis OBE mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, kreativitas mahasiswa, dan kualitas produk proyek mahasiswa. Model ini terbukti efektif dan dapat direkomendasikan sebagai strategi pembelajaran pada mata kuliah berbasis praktik.
