WRITING GUIDELINES

Welcome to SEVA: International Journal of Community Service on Language, Literature, Culture, and their Teaching. Our writing guidelines serve as a compass for navigating the scholarly terrain, ensuring clarity, rigor, and impact in every submission. As stewards of academic excellence and community engagement, we invite authors to adhere to these guidelines, fostering a culture of robust inquiry and meaningful dialogue within our esteemed pages.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  1. Article written includes the results of the community services in the field of Language, literature, Culture, and/or their teaching.
  2. The article must be written in English or other languages recognized by the United Nations, namely: Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), French, Russian, and Spanish.
  3. The article submitted by the author is the original scientific paper, has never been published, and is not being submitted for publication in another journal.
  4. The article does not contain any form of plagiarismfalsification, and fabrication of data.
  5. The length of manuscript is between 7 - 12 pages (excluding the reference list).
  6. It is advisable that the article be proofread before being submitted. Article(s) with major grammar mistakes will be rejected.
  7. The article can be submitted via OJS page of SEVA: International Journal of Community Service in Language, Literature, Culture, and Their Teaching.

PAPER ORGANIZATION

  1. The names of all authors of the article are listed without academic degrees, and followed by the authors’ affiliations and e-mail addresses. The first author is the corresponding author. This part is typed in font size 10 pt.
  2. The article is written in the essay format. The title of the article is printed in capital letters with justify paragraph format, Times New roman, and 12 pt font size. The rank is expressed in the title section with different types of letter (all titles of sections and sub-sections are typed in bold or bold and italic), and refrain to use of numbers in the title section:
  • Rank I (UPPERCASE , BOLD, ALIGNED-LEFT)
  • Rank 2 (Sentence Case, Bold, Aligned-Left)
  • Rank 3 (Sentence Case, Bold-Italic, Aligned-Left)
  1. Abstract is written in English and Indonesian, typed in Times New Roman with justify paragraph format and font size 10 pt. Keywords consists of 3-5 words which are italicized and written in an alphabetical order. The abstract consists of 150-200 words.
  2. References should be issued not more than last 10 years prior to the current year. References should consists of at least ten sources (preferably reports and articles in journals and scientific magazines).
  3. Citations and references are written according to the APA (American Psychological Association) 7th edition style. The references should be written in alphabetical and chronological order. Authors are recommended to use a reference management software in writing the citations and references such as MendeleyEnd Note, or Zotero.
